Our Principal

Carolyn Murphy is excited to be part of the team establishing Riverina Christian College, and to see it grow into a strong addition to the Deniliquin community.

Carolyn has always lived in rural NSW, having grown up in a small town in the central west. After marrying, she and her husband Phillip moved to various parts of the state, pursuing work opportunities in both the north and south. This journey has given Carolyn a first-hand understanding of the challenges rural and remote communities face in accessing quality education and support services for students and families. She is passionate about every child knowing they are valued, and works to encourage them to grow in confidence as individuals who can thrive wherever they live.

Carolyn holds a Diploma in Education (Early Childhood) and, over the course of her career, has gained experience teaching children across all age groups. Since she, Phillip, and their now adult son Craig moved to the Deniliquin area just over 20 years ago, Carolyn has worked in many of the local schools throughout the district.

Her Christian faith is central to both her life and her approach to education. Carolyn is a member of Deniliquin Baptist Church, where she has served as Children's Ministry leader for several years.
